Emerald ParaTime Fees - Wallet Balance not matching fee tracking

Hello! I’ve been logging transactions to my transaction capital gains utility (Crypto com Tax with custom tokens), and have been running into a discrepancy I can’t seem to resolve.

My wallet’s reporting that my ROSE balance on the Emerald ParaTime should be ~14.393 ROSE ; however, my MetaMask wallet actually reports that I have 14.5343 ROSE.

Using the Emerald Oasis Dev Explorer and noting all the transactions with ROSE (adding up adds to ROSE, subtracting out fees, in Excel), I get the same thing that Crypto.com Tax is reporting.

Am I just missing something with how Emerald Transaction Fees are being charged? I’m using what is being reported on https://explorer.emerald.oasis.dev/ , under the Transaction Fee section.

Another weird thing, on the Oasis Explorer website there’s a section for “Coin Balance History”, which shows balance per block. I’ve noticed that one transaction there shows that I went down by 0.00118597 ROSE, but on the actual transaction details page for the transaction in the same block the Transaction Fee is reporting as 0.01969363 (a lot higher than what’s showing in Coin Balance History).

Just wondering where my calculations are going wrong!

Hello! It seems that there might be some discrepancies between different sources of information for your ROSE balance and transaction fees. To address this issue, I recommend the following steps:

  1. Double-check your transaction history and ensure that all transactions are correctly recorded in your Excel calculations, including fees, rewards, and any other events that may have affected your ROSE balance.
  2. Make sure you’re using the latest and most accurate data from the official Oasis explorers (Emerald Oasis Dev Explorer and Oasis Explorer). Note that there might be occasional discrepancies between the two, but they should generally align.
  3. Contact the support teams of both Crypto.com Tax and MetaMask to inquire about any known issues or discrepancies in their reporting, as they might be able to provide further guidance or insights.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify the cause of the discrepancy and rectify your calculations. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the Oasis Network community or support channels for additional help.
